A best friend from Arlington High. We drifted after I married. I’ll never forget the Maverick Grabber or the great times cruising with Joe.I’m sorry for your loss. We will all miss the fun and excitement Joe added to life

Joe was one of the most thoughtful people I have known. He was a loving brother to me, a great Dad to his son and grandsons, and a loving son to Sylvia and Lloyd. He suffered more than most people could stand the last 7 years, but was very strong and did not complain. Will really miss you little brother!

Lloyd,
I just wanted to say that I was sorry to read about Joe. Even though it has been a while since I’ve seen you or Joe, I would like for you and your family to know that my thoughts are with all of you.
God bless you,

Dear Reinhardt family,
Mr. Reinhardt was a great customer of mine and I always loved hearing from him even though it was to fix his wheelchair. He always had a sweet disposition and could always make me laugh. Joe, I wish you peace and love and know that you have touched my heart.
Chuck Madinger says
Dear Sylvia and Lloyd,
Some of the best memories of my youth were spent together with Joey from Barnor Drive to the “new place.” I can’t tell you how many times I’ve thought of him and you both, and wished we could have a reunion of sorts. Your love to him and collectively to us “scandalous 3” (Ricky Miller too) help shape our futures, but then that is another long story.
My deepest sympathy to the entire family, because if he retained even half of his fun-loving spirit, commitment to friends, and zest for living as he did during our elementary through high school years no one can replace it. We can only celebrate it. Keep that legacy living till we all meet again.

Sylvia, see my other entry in the guestbook. I typed in “Beverly” but meant to put “Sylvia”. Must be my old age catching up with me! Anyway, thank you Sylvia for making me feel welcomed into the Reinhardt family.

Joe was the older brother that I never had. We became instant friends in Indianapolis in 1972. We both went thru some very wild and crazy times and were always there for each other. When he’d see driving my old black 1960 VW Bug, he’d say, “there goes Jerry Readle in his 59 Beetle” and I’d yell out the window . . . ’its a 60!”. Great times! And Beverly, thanks for those wonderful breakfasts that you’d fix for Joe and me when we’d stop over at your place on Saturday mornings after we had partied long and hard the night before. I’ll miss Joe very much. I’m so glad our paths crossed when they did.
